What was it about:
- A digital design on the topic of sustainability was to be created for the C&A Design Studio collection.
- The design can be used to visually individualize sustainably produced garments in the C&A Design Studio via print or laser.
- The main prize, in addition to €500, is two nights (including travel) in one of the first designer hotels in Hamburg with an accompanying person.

For my sustainability design, I chose the area of recycling, because I myself have been recycling clothes for years. Whether my old clothes end up in a recycling container or in a clothing store, whether I buy second-hand clothes or I buy recycled clothes in stores. Recycling old clothes is an indispensable part of sustainability for me. My design motif represents the recycling sign/logo of clothing: three green tops (clothing) arranged in a triangle, fused into the arrows. The arrow tops represent the recycling cycle. In the original recycling symbol, the three arrows stand for "reduce," "reuse," and "recycle" in English, which translates to "reduce," "reuse," and "recycle."

This approach also accompanied me in the creation of my design: the form or illustration is kept very reduced and simple, also the color tones are simple and purposefully chosen - green. Because green is the color of hope, nature, balance, harmony and healing; green is the symbol for eco, sustainability and environmental protection. In addition, I reuse existing fonts. Here I chose an open source font "Inter", which is very similar to Helvetica - sans serif, simple & neutral but trendy. Matching the motif, I thought of the quote "You are what you wear", which also transports the message well.
